Circle Scarf Pattern

Kia's double cowl
I found the pattern for this circle scarf a few days ago and I can't wait to get started on it. Need to find a good colour yarn and some bigger needles. This will be my first experience knitting with circular needles so we'll see how it turns out. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

KIA’S DOUBLE COWL

What you’ll need:
  • 2 skeins super bulky weight yarn, approx 90 yards each (I used Rasta Merino Wool)
  • US 13 (9mm) 24” circular needles
  • 1 stitch marker (optional)
  • Tapestry needle (optional)
How-to:
  1. Cast on 131 stitches
  2. Join in the round and place stitch marker (or just keep track of your tail)
  3. Work in seed stitch for about 8 inches (first row k1, p1; second row p1, k1, and so on)
  4. Bind off in pattern and weave in the ends with tapestry needle (or your fingers)
(Original pattern, and others can be found here: http://blog.bloomspot.com/2012/10/diy-circle-scarves/ )

Here is a video of "Joining in the round" for use with this pattern. Hopefully it is useful, especially if it is your first time with circular needles like me. :)
